Portrait of Chandrabhushan Prakash

Chandrabhushan PrakashSoftware engineerHyderabad, Telangana, India6+ years in production

I build production software.

Most of my work now sits in the unglamorous middle of a business: identity, warehouse systems, catalog data.

Now. SDE-II at Odwen Technologies, building a new WMS/OMS platform from the ground up.

  • Flutter
  • Node.js
  • PostgreSQL
  • React
  • PHP
  • Python
  • AWS

Work

What I am building now, then four public projects written up in full, then the client work before them.

At Odwen Technologies

Enterprise systems: a legacy product brought up to date, and a new platform built from nothing. Closed source, so this is what I can describe.

  • WMS/OMS platform

    Odwen Technologies

    In progress2026 to present

A new warehouse and order management platform that our small cross-functional team is building from the ground up. Still in active development.

    • I work across backend architecture, API design, PostgreSQL data modelling, business workflows, and authentication and authorization.

    PostgreSQL, Express, React, Node.js

  • SSO for a legacy product

    Odwen Technologies

    Shipped2026

Designed and shipped a single sign-on integration for a legacy product.

    • User provisioning.
    • Login handoff between two applications.
    • Single logout.
    • Retiring the older authentication path.
  • SKU data pipeline

    Odwen Technologies

    Shipped2026

A workflow that turns unstructured supplier SKU data into structured product records using LLM APIs. Extraction was the easy half. Proving it worked was the rest of it.

    • Provisions the structured records as products.
    • Fills in missing data, including empty HSN codes.
    • A human review UI for checking records.
    • Fixed test sets and deterministic scoring.
    • A release rule: nothing ships unless it beats the previous version on data it has not seen.
  • Trackmate

    Odwen Technologies

    Shipped2026

Flutter app for internal expense tracking.

    • Invoice OCR.
    • PDF preview.
    • Per-endpoint permissions.

    Flutter, Dart

Public projects

Each with the problem, how it is built, the decisions behind it and what it still cannot do.

Flutter Lamp

MIT, v0.21.0, Aug 2026 to present

Live eyes for your AI on a running Flutter app.

Problem
Debugging Flutter with an AI assistant means copy-pasting stack traces, flutter run output and DevTools screenshots. The assistant is blind between messages and rebuilds what happened from whatever text it was handed.
Architecture
Collectors read the Dart VM Service into one capped event store, redacting secrets before anything is stored. The MCP tools, the diagnosis engine and the live dashboard all read that store in the same process.
Key decisions
  • Score false confidence, not accuracy
  • Redact at capture, not at display
  • Loopback is not a security boundary
Status
Actively developed
Stack
TypeScript, Node.js, MCP, Dart VM Service, WebSocket, Claude Code, GitHub Actions

ContractPal

AGPL-3.0, 2026

Photograph a confusing letter. Get back what it actually says.

Problem
Insurance policies, bills and renewal notices are written for the sender, not the reader.
Architecture
One Next.js deployable. A document lives only as a buffer inside one request and passes through a provider-agnostic AI seam. There is no database: a signed, expiring token is the entitlement and Stripe holds subscription state.
Key decisions
  • Zero retention is a build failure, not a promise
  • No database anywhere
  • Privacy criteria gate every AI provider
Status
Built; live-API verification pending
Stack
Next.js, TypeScript, React, Stripe, Zod, GitHub Actions

Novel Reader

MIT, 2026

Read or listen to serialised fiction, with narration that follows every word.

Problem
Novels written in markdown end up read in a word processor or an editor, where read-aloud is an afterthought and the voice loses its place in the text.
Architecture
Markdown is parsed and rendered, then tokenised from the rendered DOM into word spans. Two voice engines sit behind one interface, and a cue schedule drives the highlighted word.
Key decisions
  • Tokenise the rendered DOM, not the markdown
  • Heavy model, loaded on request
  • An estimator that’s measured, not assumed
Status
Live
Stack
Next.js, React, TypeScript, Supabase, ONNX (Kokoro-82M), Web Speech API, PWA

Open Transfer

MIT, 2024 to 2026

AirDrop for every device, straight from the browser.

Problem
Moving a file from a phone to a laptop usually means a cable, a messaging app that recompresses it, or a cloud drive that needs an account and sends the file off the network. AirDrop solves it, but only when every device is Apple.
Architecture
One Python process. cheroot streams request bodies to disk, guards check host, origin and PIN, and a storage layer publishes each upload atomically once it is complete.
Key decisions
  • Stream the body, never buffer it
  • Nothing half-written is ever visible
  • Polling over WebSockets, on purpose
Status
v2.0.0, stable
Stack
Python, Flask, cheroot, JavaScript, Docker, GitHub Actions, Playwright

    Laravel, PHP, React, MySQL

  • Nidhi software

    Enexa IT Solutions

    ShippedJul 2024 to Jan 2025

Flutter app with a REST backend, built solo from database to UI. My first Flutter project, learned on the job.

    Flutter, Dart, MySQL

Earlier

  • Short-video web app, AZSM Enterprises, 2023 to 2024. Optimised the shorts player, scroll smoothness and home layout of a YouTube-like platform.
  • Recruitment and mock interviews, Autus Cyber Tech, 2022. Job listings, recruitment workflows and a mock-interview module inside an enterprise ERP.
  • UPI-style payment app, Self-initiated, 2019 to 2022. A PhonePe-inspired payment app built from scratch in Android Studio.

About

I write specs, review code, investigate failures, and use AI-assisted tooling to speed up implementation and iteration. The tooling I build around that workflow, like flutter-lamp, is public.

I taught myself to code in 2019 and started at Decent Web Services in Muzaffarpur. Since then I have moved from PHP and ERP modules to React SPAs, Laravel APIs, Flutter apps and PERN backends, often as the only engineer on the project. That meant owning the whole path: schema, API, client and deploys.

Now the work is enterprise systems: modernising a legacy product at Odwen Technologies, and building a new one from nothing with a small team.

I am most interested in backend systems, data consistency, authentication, reliability, and the engineering problems that appear when software has to operate inside a real business.

What I hold myself to

  • An honest "unknown" beats a confident wrong answer.

flutter-lamp reports Unknown below 70% confidence, and its eval suite scores false confidence rather than accuracy. See the project

  • Enforce it in code, not in a policy.

ContractPal promises zero document retention, and a build step fails if any code path could store a document. See the project

  • Measure before you claim.

Novel Reader’s word-timing estimator was checked against real speech events: 145 to 313 ms mean error per sentence, with the worst case published. See the project

  • Write the decision down.

ContractPal ships nine ADRs, including the options deliberately not taken. Every repository lists its own limitations. See the project
